I purchased The Federalist Papers primarily as a reference book.In todays opinionated world, everyone seems to have an idea what the Constitution says or what it doesn't say, etc. I want to know what the framers say about it to be able to counter some of the absurd claims made about it.
It contains the thinking that went into forming the government that made our nation the best in the world. This book is for those who value our Constitution and it's principles. It contains the arguments that they faced before setting down the final words that created our republic.
As soon as I flipped the first few pages, they began to fall out. Buy a different version, not this flimsy one that is of horrible quality
It is very interesting knowing what the Constitutional congress discussed and meant when they were working on the greatest document in history. Then look at what the Federal government is attempting to push on Americans today, quite telling indeed. If you want to understand the U.S.Constitution you really need to read the Anti-federalist and federal papers together. The Federalist paper's are very telling when looking at what a national government would cause.
This book has been very helpful in understanding the Founding Fathers original intent in The U.S. Constitution.
